I have been around soccer for some time and am always in search of new, better and more efficient ways for instructing players. I have found tons of drills, organizational charts, and computer programs which are quite excellent. By using P.A.S.S.© in conjunction with these tools, you will find the results coming more quickly and efficiently with less stress. Top of Page 2 What sizes should I get for my team? Make sure you get sizes that are large enough so the players can put on and remove the tshirts quickly on the practice field - Size Chart. Additionally, purchasing larger t-shirts will give you a few seasons of use without having to buy new ones because of growth spurts. Trying to anticipate growth is not always an easy task. Boys usually have their growth spurts around 11-12 years of age, whereas girls start earlier. Top of Page 3. Do these Position Accelerator Soccer Shirts© work with younger players? Yes they do. However, at ages 5-8 I strongly recommend working on their individual skills, not positions or tactics. When they reach U10 and older, I would start introducing aspects of positional responsibilities while still working on skills. With each additional year spend more time on tactics and plays. Please Note: Do not type-cast a player too quickly into a position. Have them learn and play all areas of the field in order to get a true understanding of soccer. This is where the t-shirts come in so handy. I am starting an adult beginners team. Do they work for these players? First make sure you get sizes large enough so they can be easily put on and removed. Come up with a game plan and drills you want to do. Explain the basics of postions, overall strategy, and use the tshirts.
