Dear Fellow Soccer Coach
Being a Soccer Coach or Trainer You Probably Have Experienced an All-to-Common Problem
I’ve come to recognize a problem in how long it takes to explain and demonstrate soccer tactics for players ranging in ages 10 and older. That’s why I’ve created this web site.
You are about to discover a better way to train your team, have them understand and remember field responsibilities and strategic plays - see the ‘big picture’ - while taking out the confusion. You’re going to save time and aggravation, giving you better training time results.
Position Accelerator Soccer Shirts (P.A.S.S.)©
Hello! My name is Sid Pfisterer, and I created Position Accelerator Soccer Shirts (P.A.S.S.)©. The simple yet very effective design will accelerate your practice effectiveness. You will be amazed by how well your team will improve in less time.
After speaking to numerous coaches, trainers and club administrators, asking for advice on how to improve my teams’ performance and understanding of the game, I got the usual response of ‘try this drill’. What usually happened was the drill took more time than desired to explain, and for the players to understand. More often than not the team got discouraged and confused.
I have used videos, manuals, grease boards and all the other tools available to us coaches to help instruct soccer concepts. Some have worked, however, most do little to help accelerate comprehension and develop the thinking side of the game (field sense).
What Was Needed
A visualization tool to help speed up the learning curve. As team leaders we are responsible to help our players master soccer in an enthusiastic, positive environment and promote fun and enjoyment of the sport. This is how I came up with the idea of P.A.S.S.©.
Plenty of drills were not the problem; just go to any good book store. What was lacking until now was an effective tool to help illustrate the objectives of all those exercises.
Now drills and practices are producing better results because players can actually visualize and interpret how the team should be spaced while on the field and what each member should be doing when in various ‘dead ball’ and tactical situations.
Ultimate Reward
Is reduced explanation time and increased players excitement, enjoyment, and retention of team objectives.
Let’s face it, soccer is a team sport. Everyone on the pitch should know what their, and their teammates, mission is to be successful. P.A.S.S.© will give each member a better understanding of the game, allowing them to work and react in a productive way; individually, in small groups and as a team. ______________________________________
About Position Accelerator Soccer Shirts (P.A.S.S.)©
P.A.S.S.© incorporates 4 separate bright colors to differentiate them when worn. In addition, each shirt has the position hand silk-screened on front, as well as the back, in 3” black letters that make them clearly visible. Lastly, there is a handsome graphic on the back of each tshirt to help reinforce the positions to their specific color.
Above photos are back views. For full t-shirt view of the front and back, CLICK each photo
The purpose of the 4 colors is to help stimulate and visually reinforce responsibilities on the field during game and practice times.
Each graphic and position name is hand silk-screened; the colors will not bleed, wear or peel off. In fact, the screening will probably out last the tshirt. P.A.S.S.© uses Gildan®, Jerzee®, Fruit Of The Loom® or Anvil®; each are made from 6.1 oz. 100% cotton heavy weight preshrunk t-shirts. To keep them clean, simply machine wash inside out in cold water.
Easy To Use
These t shirts are remarkably easy to use. Results follow quickly. All it takes is to develop or use an existing drill that teaches positions, strategies and tactics. Have the team put the t-shirts on and explain what has to happen - the action to be taken once the ball is in play - and let the exercise run its course. The players will soon discover what you are trying to achieve.
I have found that using P.A.S.S.© with games and exercises dramatically increases training results.
Please note - do not teach tactics and plays until your team has the individual skills to implement them. When you do introduce tactics, please make sure they are age appropriate.
P.A.S.S.© can be used at younger ages, however, I have found that an appropriate age to start is U10 or older. Since all teams are not created equal, with some being more advanced than others, it should be up to the coach to decide when to introduce Position Accelerator Soccer Shirts ©.
With the right amount of enthusiasm, commitment and freedom to experiment, your players will become more proficient and in shorter periods of time. Your reward will be a team that loves the game, and can not wait until practice and game day.
But don’t take my word for it - find out for yourself that...This Really Works!
